With This Ring

Different rings have different meanings…
There’s the wedding ring that symbolizes true love and partnership…the class ring that represents graduation…the friendship ring that expresses appreciation and support of your bff…the purity ring that symbolizes abstinence or for some the appearance of abstinence…the nose ring that means your parents are gonna be pissed…and the mood ring that symbolizes a very bad time in over the top new age fashion…
But one of my favorites has to be the cocktail ring.  According toWiseGeek these large, dramatic, colorful baubles got their name during the Prohibition era. Ladies would rock the rings during forbidden cocktail parties to flaunt the fact that they were drinking illegally and doing it with style.
Since then cocktail rings have gone in and out of fashion – but lately they have been making a definite impact.  They are hugely popular with the celeb crowd – making a chic and supremely grand fashion statement…
So why wait around for the guy to buy your diamond when you can get something just as fabulous on your own!  Okay I’d rather have an oversized yellow diamond, but this will definitely do for now.  Check out some of these great cocktail rings that add a dose of healthy fun to any outfit.
