For the September 'Style Special' issue of Wallpaper* (W*127) we commissioned Parisian photographer Arnaud Pyvka to shoot one of our key fashion stories. Based around the idea of the 'Utopian Dream' as inspired by Martin Margiela's 'Cloud' dress (shown above), Pyvka's portfolio of images conjure up an imaginary world of fantasy and escapism.
But Wallpaper* didn't stop here. Having fallen for the collage work of artist and art director Patrick Waugh in the ACNE lookbook, as well as imagery in his own fanzine Boyo, we commissioned him to have his own visionary play with Pyvka's photographs.
For the results you'll have to turn to the feature in the September issue of Wallpaper* (W*126), while here at wallpaper.com we thought it would be nice to share with you the original images as shot by Pyvka.
